Jon Vanstone is Chair of the Industry Competence Committee (ICC) within the Building Safety Regulator, leading work to raise competence standards across the built environment. With more than 20 years’ experience in government policy, regulatory compliance, and the development of competency frameworks, he has played a pivotal role in driving cultural change and improving safety outcomes. 

Alongside his ICC role, Jon also chairs Certass and the National Home Improvement Council, working with installers, manufacturers, and industry leaders to promote professionalism and raise standards across home improvement and glazing. An experienced awards judge in both the glazing industry and the wider construction sector, Jon brings strategic oversight and deep sector knowledge to the judging process.
