Judging Process
The G26 Awards are designed to recognise excellence, innovation and achievement across the glass and glazing industry.
To ensure a fair, robust and independent process, entries will progress through the following stages:
1. Organiser Selection – Shortlist
Following the closing date for entries, all submissions will be reviewed and assessed by the G26 Awards organising team. The organiser will undertake an initial screening process to ensure entries meet the relevant category requirements and eligibility criteria. Based on this assessment, a shortlist of finalists will be selected for each category and presented to the independent judging panel.
2. Independent Judging – Winner Selection
The shortlisted entries will then be assessed by an independent panel of experienced judges, selected for their knowledge, expertise and understanding of the glass and glazing industry. Judges will independently review the shortlisted entries against the published category criteria before coming together to determine the category winners. The judges’ decisions will be based on the strength of the evidence provided, the quality and impact of the achievement, and how effectively each entry demonstrates the relevant judging criteria.
3. Verification Visits
For the Fabricator of the Year and Installer of the Year categories, shortlisted companies may be subject to a verification visit. These visits provide an opportunity for the judging process to validate the information submitted and gain a deeper understanding of the company’s operations, achievements, standards and practices. Verification visits form an important part of the assessment for these two categories and may contribute to the judges’ final decision.
4. Winners Announced Live
The winners of the G26 Awards will be announced live at the G26 Awards Ceremony on 27 November 2026 in London. All shortlisted companies will be recognised at the ceremony, with the winners revealed on the night.
The G26 Awards judging process is designed to provide a transparent, credible and independent route from entry through to winner selection.
